Don’t Look Away: Stop Bullying !

  ⭐️On April 29, 2026, the 4th teacher meeting of April was held with the participation of 6 partners. April activities were discussed. Plans were made and the content of our collaborative digital book was determined. The digital book content prepared by our school students is being exhibited for "eTwinning Day on May 9th".

  ⭐️ Wonder tells one of the most striking stories of peer bullying. Auggie is excluded, ridiculed, and left alone simply because he looks different. This shows that bullying is often directed at those who are seen as "different." The film makes us feel that bullying is not just an action, but a wound that leaves lasting scars on someone's heart. But it also delivers a powerful message: People can change when they develop empathy. The short and concise message: Being different is not a flaw; bullying is a choice.

  In our Human Rights and Empathy themed activity, the effects of peer bullying on human rights were discussed, and flashcards were prepared to develop empathy skills. One student tried to explain the word on the card to the other students, and a short conversation was held about the word on the card. In the final stage, instead of speaking, they tried to express the emotions on the cards through facial expressions. Our activity was both thought-provoking and fun, and created awareness that improved life skills.

  Workshops were organized to develop skills in tolerance, respect, and non-violent communication, and these were displayed on our notice board. A student meeting was also held .

As a result of collaborative work, a brochure was prepared to raise awareness and promote the project. The brochure was distributed in our own schools and to neighboring schools. Furthermore, by participating in an Erasmus project involving student mobility in Spain, our awareness campaign, through brochure distribution, managed to reach a different school in a different country.

 A survey was conducted following a peer bullying awareness presentation. The number of students participating in the survey was less than the number of students who attended the meeting. This can be interpreted as an indication of the silence and pressure created by bullying. The survey results were analyzed and show that students are still facing bullying, mostly verbal bullying; however, more research and studies are needed on this issue…!

  ⭐️The 3rd teacher-student meeting was held. (3 from Türkiye, 3 from Romania, 1 from Italy) It took place on March 12, 2026 at 9:00 PM with the participation of all partners and students. At the meeting, attended by 38 people, a presentation on peer bullying was given and a survey was conducted, moderated by our English teacher from Sungurlu Science High School in Türkiye. Students introduced themselves, questions from partners were received and answered. The joint product was discussed, and the meeting concluded.

  The "Don't Look Away, Stop Bullying!" eTwinning Project has 8 project partners: 4 from Romania, 1 from Italy, and 3 from Türkiye. Each of the 8 partners submitted their own logo design for voting. In the voting, which included 252 participants, the logo of Sungurlu Science High School was selected as the project logo with 90 votes. (Another partner from Romania joined the project.)

T he 2nd Student Project Meeting was held on February 16, 2026. ⭐️The poster creation activity was discussed as the February activity. ⭐ Information was given about the collaborative product activity of the project.

  On January 16, 2026, a project partner meeting and project presentation was held via Zoom with the participation of 7 partners: 3 from Romania, 1 from Italy, and 3 from Türkiye.

  The eTwinning Project was activated on January 7, 2026. On January 12, 2026, the first student meeting of our eTwinning project titled "Don't Ignore, Stop Bullying!" was held. ⭐️A project presentation was given. ⭐️Web 2.0 tools were introduced. ⭐️Information about activity planning was provided.
